Carmel (Bermingham) Brudenell

Carmel (Bermingham) Brudenell is a retired Kindergarten teacher. Carmel was born in a Bush Nursing Hospital in country Victoria. Australia. Carmel inherited her love of ponies and horses from her father and Great Grandfather.

The second eldest of six children and at the age of 14 Carmel left School to help support the family. Her first employment was as a Shop Assistant and after many different positions and self-education Carmel worked as an Administrative Assistant at Executive level in the State Government.

Following serious life-threatening health issues Carmel realized a life time dream and applied to enter University. Carmel graduated from RMIT University in 1993 with a double degree in Primary and Kindergarten Teaching and LaTrobe University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Education (EC).

Carmel worked in Kindergarten for 22 years including 13 years as Director of one of the biggest stand-alone Kindergartens in Victoria. Carmel enjoyed working with children, living a busy and active life including breeding stud ponies and cattle, driving Carriage ponies and travelling by road to the Outback.

Carmel and her late husband Eric, have one son, Tim and twin Granddaughters, Emma and Sarah. Through their daughter-in-law, Joan they have a large extended family of Grandchildren, Great and Great, Great Grandchildren.
